The vision of the Arlington County, Virginia Commission on Aging is to ensure that all older persons residing in Arlington County receive the optimum level of services and resources they need, making Arlington County a continuing favorable lifetime environment.
The mission of the Arlington County, Virginia Commission on Aging is to ensure and enhance the quality of life for older persons. In order to accomplish this, the Commission on Aging strives to ascertain that the needs of Arlington's older persons are included in all planning and County activities. As an advisor to the Arlington Agency on Aging, the Commission will advise in the following areas:
In addition to advising the Arlington Agency on Aging, the Commission will advise the Arlington County Board, County Manager, and other County agencies in aging areas, and will review items pertaining to older persons in the proposed annual County budget. This will include the following areas:
