Mission

The mission of the Second Police District is to reduce the incidence of crime and improve the quality of life in the District by fostering interaction and cooperation between police, community, and government.  Our goal is to promote the development of community-based partnerships and problem solving strategies.

Among our greatest challenges is maintaining a balanced approach to enforcement and service delivery to meet the needs of our residential neighborhoods and our commercial areas.  We are committed to being responsive to all of our constituents and we strive to maintain open lines of communication.

In partnership with our community, we seek to create a peaceful and safe environment, free from threats to safety and well being.  We recognize our responsibility to maintain order, while treating each person we contact with dignity and respect.

Our policing priorities include:

  • Traffic Safety
  • Pedestrian Safety
  • Crime Prevention
  • Alcohol Beverage Control Violations
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Quality of Life Violations
