To recognize and encourage design excellence in Arlington’s built environment and to increase public awareness of outstanding design, Arlington County sponsored the inaugural DESIGNArlington’09 awards program. Esteemed jurors for this year’s program included Roger K. Lewis, FAIA, Robert Sponseller, AIA, Bill Spack, AIA, and Jonathan Fitch, ASLA. Award winners were formally announced and recognized at the January 26, 2010, County Board Meeting, and are listed below.
