Public Hearing Related Documents
The Planning Commission usually meets 1~3 times a month. One week prior to each meeting, an agenda prepared by the County Planning staff and the Planning Commission Chair is advertised in the Washington Times LLC newspaper. It is distributed to the Planning Commission members, civic association presidents, and other interested citizens. The agenda is based on the public/legal notice that the Zoning Office and County Board Office distribute. There is also a subscription service citizens can sign up for on the Arlington County website for receipt of public/legal notices of both upcoming Planning Commission and County Board public hearings.
Unless otherwise noted, meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. in the County Board Room 307: #1 Courthouse Plaza, 2100 Clarendon Blvd, Arlington. Each agenda's item number is correspondent to the staff reports, the minutes and the follow up recommendation letter.
After each Planning Commission meeting, the Planning Commission will provide the County Board recommendation letter (s) stating their opinions toward the subject (s) discussed at the meetings. The item number that follows the recommendation letter, indicates the content of the letter and is correspondent to the hearing agenda. All the files are in PDF format except the agendas in 2000 and one agenda in 2001. If you don't have Acrobat, find out about Adobe® Acrobat® PDF Reader® here.
