Traffic Permit Fee Schedule

 

 

Fee Schedule
Effective July 1, 2007

Apply for All Permits 5 Business Days in Advance.

Parking construction equipment on County streets where no parking meters exist:

Base Fees for parking the following items on County streets or within County rights-of-way. (See Figure 1 below)

Plus an additional Right-Of-Way fee where no parking meters exist as follows:

  • For major or minor arterial streets: $0.50 per linear foot per lane per day
  • For all other streets: $0.10 per linear foot per lane per day

Parking for non-construction related equipment or vehicles:

Moving Vans:

Base Fees:

  • $34.00 per permit with a time limit of up to 2 days
  • Includes temporary "No Parking Signs"
  • Signs must be in place for 2 days before the date of the move

To temporarily park other non-construction equipment or vehicles where parking is prohibited or if parking will be restricted:

  • $34.00 per permit per day
  • Parking shall not be restricted for more than 2 days

Additional fees associated with Traffic Right-of-way permits


Parking Meters Fees

Where parking meters exist, irrespective of duration or proposed use are the following additional fees:

  • $15.00 per day for each parking meter with a time limit of 4 hours or less
  • $11.00 per day for each parking meter with a time limit of more than 4 hours

For County removal of parking meters: $45.00 per parking meter

Traffic control devices (barricades/cones) for Block Parties and other special events:

  • $5.00 per device per day

Variable message signs (VMS):

  • $90.00 per VMS per day

Temporary signs (in relation to permits):

  • $25.00 for first 2 temporary signs
  • $1.25 for each additional sign
  • One time fee
  • Signs must be posted by County Staff only

Cost example:

A contractor needs to park equipment for two days where there are 20 parking meters. In addition to the fees for parking the equipment and occupying meters, the temporary signs will cost $25.00 (for first 2 meters) and $1.25 for each additional parking meter (18) for a total of $47.50 as a one time fee.

Please Note: There is no proration on all daily fees.


Special Events Permits

Events including:

Base application Fees: $34.00 + $5.00 for each barricade per day.

Barricade fees include delivery and removal.  The barricades will be delivered before the event and removed afterwards by County Staff.

Cost example: 

For One Day - A block party which closes off two ends of a block for one day requires six barricades, three on each end of the block.
The fee would be $34.00 + (6 x $5.00) for a total of $64.00. 

For Two Day - A party was for two days the fees would be $34.00 + (6 x $5.00) x 2 days for a total of $94.00.
