Obtain a Fire Incident Report

 

Incident Reports

Incident reports may only be viewed or requested by the subject or the subject's authorized agent, who must provide valid proof of authorization. Government issued photo ID may be required. Incident Reports for incidents subject to criminal investigations are not authorized for release.


Requests for incident reports 

All requests for fire, medical, and Fire Marshal's investigation reports must include the following information:

  • Type of report you are requesting
  • Type of incident (auto fire, house or apartment fire, medical, etc.)
  • Address of incident
  • Date and time of incident
  • Incident number, if available
  • Name of client, occupant, or patient
  • Your name and address, if different than any listed above

Copies are available for $5, however additional charges may apply for requests that require additional staff and resources to complete. Please make checks payable to Arlington County Treasurer.


How do I pay for the report?

Copies of reports cost $5. Please make checks payable to Arlington County Treasurer. Payment is required prior to the release of any documents and must be received within 10 business days making the request. If payment is not received within that time, the request will not be retained.  At this time, payment cannot be made online.
