Are you a teen or know a teen who is dedicated to making a difference in their community? If so the TMAD, Teens Making a Difference program wants you! TMAD offers community service, life skills, community projects, special events as well as other drop-in recreation activities for teens.
Regular TMAD meetings start January 26 and occur every Tuesday from 6-9pm at Lubber Run Center. This free program is the perfect opportunity for teens to give back to their community; in addition students have the chance to earn a stipend for work-learning programs. Apply today! National Youth Congress Internship Program
A 12-week job training and internship program in the field of parks, recreation and conservation. Must be an Arlington resident between the ages of 13-17. Includes mandatory overnight retreat in September for the Fall session and in March for the Spring session, followed by a 10-week paid internship working side by side with a recreation professional. 703-228-7781 or e-mail the Office for Teens.
