Find Great Classes and Programs in the May/June 55+ Guide


You are never too old to play! Celebrate Older American’s Month with 150+ classes in the latest 55+ Guide. Whether you are interested in exercising your brain and body, being social, planning for the future, catching a movie, learning a new skill or healthy living we have something just for you! Registering for a 55+ offering will bring adventure, education, community and leisure to your summer! Most programs are free if you have a 55+ Pass.  Registration for fee-based programs starts May 7 at 10am. Go to www.arlingtonva.us, search 55+ to learn more about how to register online, by phone or in person.

Many classes are free and ongoing, but some classes require registration and payment. The registration period for May/June classes starts at 10am on May 7. Stay active and engaged by reading the 55+ Guide to find great classes and programs that are right for you!

How to Register

You may register online, in-person at the senior centers, or by phone or mail beginning at 10am on Monday, March 5.
Online registration is now available for many of our day trips.

Online Registration Instructions for 55+ Trips:

  • Go to https://registration.arlingtonva.us/
  • Enter your login ID and Password. (If this is your first time and you do not know your ID and password, please call 703-228-4744 or 703-228-4747.) A new web page will appear.
  • Click on the "55-Plus" menu and then on "Browse /Register for 55+ Trips."
  • Find the trip you are interested in and click on it. Then click "Enroll Now."
  • Select the name of the individual you are registering. Click "Add to Cart."
  • You will have the option to "Continue Shopping" or "Checkout." Click on one of those choices.
  • When you are done, pay by credit card for your online registration.

Address mailed registrations with payment to: Registration Office, 3700 S. Four Mile Run, Arlington, VA 22206. Make checks payable to Treasurer, Arlington County.

To participate in programs at Arlington County's senior centers, register with the Office of Senior Adult Programs (OSAP) and pay an annual fee of $20 ($30 for two people in the same household, $45 for non-residents of Arlington County, or $65 for non-resident households). Your registration gives you access to Arlington's many classes, fitness programs, trips and special events for participants 55+, as well as discounted access to community fitness facilities. Register today and receive a bimonthly publication of programs for adults ages 55 and over.

To register or for more information, call 703-228-4744 (TTY 703-228-4743) or visit any senior center, Thomas Jefferson Community Center, or Barcroft Sports and Fitness Center. Or contact the Office of Senior Adult Programs, 300 N. Park Dr., Arlington. VA 22203. Seniors are welcome to visit a senior center prior to registering.
